Weber wins diving title
The Wauseon swim teams fell to Sylvania Southview on Thursday night. The boys lost 106-62 and the girls were defeated 91-84.
Despite the losses, the Indians did have some double event winners. Cole Patty won both the 50 and 100 freestyle, Jessica Humbarger took the 200 freestyle and 100 breaststroke and Jacob McElrath won the 200 and 500 freestyle.
Other event winners were Kendall Weber in diving, Jenna Reiser in the 500 freestyle and Adrienne Hallett in the 100 yard backstroke.
The Indians did well in the freestyle relays. The girls 200 and 400 relay teams of Humbarger, Reiser, Hallett and Mara Pelok both were victorious.
Both boys teams also won. The 200 relay team included Patty, Chase Krohn, Isaiah Nichols and McElrath. The 400 team consisted of McElrath, Krohn, Isaac Nichols and Patty.
Diving league meet
Weber won the league diving title for the second straight year, while teammate Lacy Mynhier was runner up for the second year. Weber totalled 420.1 points, while Mynhier had 343.5.
Wauseon's Sarah Ballmer was 15th with 237.25 and Cassie Koenig was 19th with 171.95.
