Area students recognized for college honors

Ashland University

ASHLAND, Ohio - The following students are on the Dean's List for the fall semester of 2009 at Ashland University. To be eligible for this honor, a student must be enrolled full time and achieve at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Christopher Bingham of Wauseon is the son of Richard and Jennifer Bingham and is majoring in early childhood education.

Kara Hunter of Wauseon is the daughter of Richard and Kathleen Hunter and is majoring in middle grades education.

Taylor University

UPLAND, Ind. - Bethany Wilson of Wauseon was named to the fall 2009 Dean's List at Taylor University. Full-time students are named to the Dean's List when they have earned a 3.6 or better grade point average for the term and carry at least 12 hours credits.

She is a freshman majoring in social work. She is the daughter of Lee and Chris Wilson of Wauseon.

Hesston College

HESSTON, Kan. - Hesston College Registrar Jeanne Billings has announced that Brooke Gugel of Wauseon has earned Dean's List for the fall 2009 semester. To be named to Dean's List, a student must achieve a grade point average between 3.90 to 4.0 while completing 12 credit hours or more.

RIDGEVILLE CORNERS - Northwest State Community College (NSCC) has announced their Dean's List for the Fall 2009 semester. Part time students considered for Dean's List must carry at least six credit hours. A student is considered full time when they carry 12 or more credit hours.
