Allen, Geckle exchange vows
On Sept. 12, 2009, Rachel Allen of Wauseon wed David Geckle of Maumee at St. Caspar Catholic Church. Father Robert Holden and Father Joseph Przybysz presided over the ceremony.
Fred and Alice Allen of Wauseon are the parents of the bride. Jim and Pat Geckle of Delphos are parents of the groom.
Melanie Galvin of Swanton was Matron of Honor with Maid of Honor Jen Allen of Dublin, Ohio, both sisters of the bride. Denise Geckle of Delphos, sister of the groom and Tammy Burkholder of Archbold, friend of the couple, were the other bridesmaids.
Cory Trenkamp of Fort Jennings, friend of the couple, was the Best Man. The other groomsmen were Gary Snyder of Toledo and Kristin Beining of Toledo, friends of the couple, and Joe Allen of Wauseon, brother of the bride.
Amy Wyse of Elkhart, Ind., a cousin of the bride, was the flower girl.
The reception was held in Napoleon. The couple went to Hawaii for their honeymoon. They now reside in Maumee.
Rachel Allen is a 2000 graduate of Wauseon High School, a 2005 graduate of Bowling Green State University where she earned a Bachelor's degree in business administration and a 2009 graduate of Defiance College where she earned a master's degree in business administration. She is currently employed at the Fulton County Health Center as a human resource professional.
David Geckle is a 1999 graduate of Fort Jennings High School, a 2003 graduate of the University of Toledo where he earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and a 2005 graduate of the University of Toledo where he earned a master's degree in civil engineering. He is currently employed by the Ohio Department of Transportation as an engineer.
