Newspapers now allow free 'items for sale' listings in classified sections
Fulton County's Community newspapers - the Fulton County Expositor, Swanton Enterprise and Heartland Trader - are now providing free "item for sale" classifieds line ads.
These are items that are limited to $100 or less, or sets of items included as one price. This service is for private party sellers, not commercial entities.
Items will run for two full weeks in all three publications, plus our Web sites. More details on this offer can be reviewed in the classified section (under "For Sale") in today's edition.
"There are some limitations on what can be advertised and how to submit the ad, but we've pretty much opened the door for anyone with something to sell. We're extending this service to our readers at a time when everyone is counting pennies and looking for extra cash," said Publisher Bob Krumm.
"Besides the high value we place on each and every one of our readers, we sympathize with the difficult situation many are experiencing," he said, adding, "This is another way we can express our gratitude for their continued loyalty."
The newspapers will continue offering free "Lost and Found" ads, free "To Give Away" ads and free "Work Wanted" ads to high school and college students.
